Flocking
Instructions
(Step-By-Step)
1. Making
sure your stamp pad is liberally inked with pigment ink, stamp your image onto
the paper.
2.
Generously
apply some Foil & Flocking Powder
to your stamped image until well covered, then tap the excess powder back into
the container.
3.
Heat
Tease (lightly apply heat) with a heat tool gun from the bottom side of the
paper ONLY until the powder just
melts and is still sticky to the touch.
4.
Flocking
can be quickly applied one of two ways; dumping
or puffing. PUFFING
(with supplied applicator) is usually best as it will orient the fibers in a
more vertical fashion, and tends to produce a thicker and more luxurious pile.
If you choose to puff the flocking on, do it GENTLY from 3-5 inches away in short rapid bursts.
5.
Finish
curing the powder with generous heat (a little hotter than with foil), ONLY when
the image is completely obscured by flocking.
6.
Tap off
the excess flocking. If it is not
mixed with other colors, it can easily be re-used.
7.
Using any
straight edge such as a credit card, emery board, or straight edge razor blade,
scrape away the unwanted powder strays from the paper.
8.
Wipe away
any loose flocking from the image with a cloth brush or even a makeup cleaning
pad.
9.
Your
completed image will make a proud addition to your portfolio, and will amaze
your friends!
