Embossed & Stamped Jewelry

(supply sources below)

I used Lumiere Paints and used my finger to apply color to black cardstock.  I used 3 colors: Halo Pink Gold, Pearlescent Emerald, Met. Russet.  When dry, using gold pigment powder and Ranger Enchanted Gold EP to emboss, I stamped a crackle image on the bracelet pieces and used a small script stamp on part of the paper for the pendant drop.  Using templates that were provided with the jewelry, I cut out my pieces and adhered them to the the jewelry with 3-D Crystal Lacquer, a flexible dimensional adhesive that dries clear.  You need to do no more than 2 spaces at a time so you can keep pushing the image into the area while the glue hardens (takes about 2 minutes).  When dry, squeeze on a layer of lacquer to the top and let dry.  Repeat last step.  This gives a deep look and the appearance of glass.  It is "self leveling".

I used  black glossy cardstock to begin.  Squeeze a little 3-D Crystal Lacquer out in a puddle and mix in some water to thin it down.  Next put in some Copper Pearl-Ex Pigment powder and mix.  Brush this onto your surface and let dry.  In this example, used a skeleton leaf stamp to emboss in gold, using gold powder and pigment ink. Using template, cut out your pieces and adhere them to your bracelet the same as above.  Also coat with two final layers of 3-D Crystal Lacquer.  It is self-leveling and makes a deep glass like finish.

ColorBox Style Stones were used for these two examples.  For the gold toned one on the left, I used my finger to apply a coat of Pewter Lumiere Paint horizontally  by dragging.  Then I did the same thing and pulled the color vertically with my finger.  Your fingerprints will give the texture of fabric.  Using Met. Russet Lumiere, I did the same thing, being careful to keep it light enough that some of the bottom color would show through.  I heat set, then stamped the leaf pattern using Ranger Archival Sepia Dye Ink.  Heat set again, then coat with 3D Crystal Lacquer.  Note:  Since the Style Stone was not large enough to fill the area of the crop, I used lacquer and gold filament thread to run around in the ditch.  Seed beads would also work for filling in around the edges.

For the example on the right, I used Pearl Turquoise as the base and sponged on Met. Russet with a small sea sponge.  After stamping with black permanent, I sealed with 3D Crystal Lacquer.
